Nalyssa's Birthday

Nalyssa is turning TWO this year. I wasn't around last year. So I have to make it this time even though I'm not fully recovered from flu. Kids nowadays are so lucky! Look at her cake! I don't even have a cake for my birthday when I was young. All I can remember was my mom gave me a big chicken drumstick on my birthday. Ha Ha, or an red egg (红鸡蛋）

Drinking session

Went to La Bodega for our drinking session on last Saturday. I was so sleepy cos my friend promised to pick me up at 11pm but he came at 12.15am. *Yawn*

Seriously, I scare people will punch me :p

I don't think the recent famous drink which is most of the Malaysian would rank it as their favourite beer - Hoegaarden taste nice. I don't like it. I prefer Paulaner or Killkenny.

We then headed to Club Twenty One at Changkat Bukit Bintang.

Saw two men fighting right in front of me when we left the club. Maybe I'll be hurt if I were walking one step faster. They're very fierce and one of them was bleeding a lot. Nel quickly pulled me away and we left the scene.

It was 4am when I was at home. Darn tired.

Gathering with the girls

Met my ex-colleagues for lunch. Haven't seen them for 3years!

They are the funniest girls I have ever met. Too bad I have to leave that time; we used to be very good before I went to Ireland :) They're still working for the same company. 2 of them are going to resign soon. I salute them for working there for a good 3yrs, working at a large audit firm is not fun at all.

We went to Wong Kok char chan teng for lunch. Is it me or their food had turn bad?

It's my 3rd time visit and the food quality was lousy.

It was nice to catch up with all the girls. However, I heard a bad news from one of them.

I hope she knows what to do as all of us disagree with the path she chose!

CNY at Tawau

It's my first time to celebrate Chinese New Year at Tawau. Weather is extremely HOT and nothing much to do over there. Visited Nel's relatives. Had fabulous dinner. Caught up with long lost friends (not my friends but his). Watched a lousy movie at the lousy cinema. There goes the CNY. Are there any better things to do during CNY? I guess there's none.

闰月是什么? 我真的不知道. 我只知道我除了要花钱买晚礼服,还要给红包.

不过反过来想, 红包可以帮助这些新人达到他们的意愿, 完成美满的婚姻.

Working holiday visa

My colleague, Sinead asked me to meet Tanya this coming Thursday. I was surprised that she is back to Ireland. It seems like she just left. Tanya got an Australia working holiday visa a year ago. Since then, she has been travelling around in Australia.

Oh! And recently, I just got to know that Malaysian is allowed to apply too!! If I'm not mistaken, it was introduced to M'sian this year. The visa allows us to travel and work up to 6mths. If you are thinking to apply, make sure you're not over 30. Applicants must be aged between 18-30 lor.

Again

Another colleague in my office has been made redundant today.
I was appalled. The rumour really surprised me.

I told hubby if I were being made redundant, we will tour around places in Europe where we haven't been to. And then?

Balik kampung dan makan jagung!!

P.S I can makan nasi lemak too. Haha :)

A night out

I had dinner with colleagues after work tonight. We went to "Lemon" at Dawson Street - it's a cafe where they serve crepes, waffles and great coffee. I had a crepe with milk choc and vanilla ice-cream - €6.30. The price is quite reasonable for Dublin standard. It's been a while since I last had one.

It's relaxing having a good time chatting with colleagues after a busy working day.

I know tomorrow it's Labour Day in M'sia but there is no such Labour's Day in Ireland. In fact my colleagues don't even know what does Labour's Day celebrate for?
I have to work tomorrow.
It's ok. I will have a long weekend anyway because the coming Monday is a Bank Holiday :)

试用期

昨天，我的同事A被‘炒鱿鱼’了！原因不是经济不好，而是A的试用期到了。说起来还挺残忍的。我的老板认为他的能力不能够胜任这职位。A已经不是第一位了，之前就有一位同事就这样被‘干掉’。

谁错谁对，我还真的搞不懂。A是四大会计公司之一培训出来的。昨天是A的试用期刚满。老板就告诉A不需要拒续。A手头上的工作也这样停了。

有时候觉得老外很假，因为他们老是把 perfect! brilliant! amazing! excellant! 挂在嘴边。
有时候明明就觉得还好，他们就说 marvelous! wonderful!

可是我现在看到的是老板还蛮直接的。像这样的事情就已经发生第三次了。
以前我还在KL上班的时候，也有类似的情况。但是那时候的老板就没有那么直接。他把我的旧同事的试用期延长，长期不给他工作。最后逼到他自己要离职。其实叫他不需要拒续也不必赔钱，毕竟还在试用期期间。我就不知道为何要为难这位同事。

之前的老板， 我认为他做法拖泥带水。
现在的老板， 我又觉得他有点‘绝’！

同样的事情，两种做法。如果是你，你认为那一种方法才对呢？

Joke of the day

so I told him it's "BU" or "BU SHI"

then he responded, "Oh man, that sounds like PUSSY. better don't say it."

My housemate

One of my housemates likes to wear only his underwear walking around the living hall. Typically, it is after he came back from work. He would take off his pant naturally and look for food, lay himself on the couch watching TV or surfing the internet. Just imagine.. a hairy (very hairy) "ang moh" wearing his ugly boxer and walking happily in front of you! Ewww!!! *puke*

Dont misunderstand, it's not that he is a pervert nor being profane, he is just used to be it. I'm ok with it but I would like him to wear a nicer underwear..haha.
