Nalyssa's Birthday

Nalyssa is turning TWO this year. I wasn't around last year. So I have to make it this time even though I'm not fully recovered from flu. Kids nowadays are so lucky! Look at her cake! I don't even have a cake for my birthday when I was young. All I can remember was my mom gave me a big chicken drumstick on my birthday. Ha Ha, or an red egg (红鸡蛋)

Happy Birthday!!!

Big Headz

I collected the stamp for fun :D
To date, I have only 23stamps, 17stamps to go. The event is going to end on 24th February :(
I think I couldn't make it to redeem this big headz soft toy. I think the giraffe is cute.

Happening in July and August

Dinner with friends in Dublin

Visited a friend in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Went to Giant Causeway again and still couldn't believe the hexagonal rocks were formed naturally.

Dinner with housemate at one of the pubs in Dublin. Not sure whether I've mentioned it here before, Guinness here tastes good and actually ways better than those in Malaysia.

Went to Cork with Alan and Kher Sin, visited Blarney Castle. Nel kissed the Blarney Stone.

Visited an island in Greece

A trip to Turkey

A girls' night out

Went to Irish Greyhound and watched dogs racing with colleagues.

Had dinner with colleagues and it was the weirdest pizza I have ever had. Pizza with ham, achovies and boiled eggs. Yucks...

Had dinner at the oldest pubs in Dublin - The Brazen Head est.1198

A friend from Cardiff, UK was visiting us. Nel and I brought her around and visit some places in Ireland.

Hectic! Hectic! I don't how did we do this. So many trips, travelling, night outs and dinners with friends and colleagues!

In Bruges

The movie I watched 2weeks ago.
Then, I came across an article about Bruges. A survey has conducted and guess what? Bruges came in the first most beautiful city in Europe, leaving Prague and Paris behind.

I was attracted to the beautiful scene when I was watching the movie.

Unbelievable pretty!

If you have not watch the movie yet, do check it out. Then you'll know how pretty it is.
And Collin Farell is funny too :)

P.S Collin Farell is an Irish actor from Dublin.

Irish Greyhound

Some time ago, Nel and I went to watch greyhound racing at Shelbourne Park Greyhound Stadium.

We lost €10 per person even before starting to bet - entry fees! Upon buying the entrance tickets, we were given a betting guidebook each. The guidebook records past statistics and winning probabilities of every greyhound in every race, as well as some tips and the hot favourites.

Nel and Ta Wei betted for most favourable greyhounds on the first few faces. Winning some races and losing the rest, they lost on overall in the end. Haha.

Greyhound racing is definitely a fun game! I suppose it's due to the element of gambling fighting smileys
During some of the races, I overheard some women beside cheering the racing dog's name. She was really loud.

All the greyhounds were given a funny name such as Egg White, Credit Alert, Double Twiss etc etc etc

Imagine hearing someone shouting "Egg White! Egg White! Egg White!" enthusiastically beside.

Greyhound could run real fast! According to info obtained from internet, they could run to the speed of around 70 kilometre an hour.

I betted for fun too and went for greyhound no.5 aka Advantage Johnny. I lost €2 on that race. Johnny, you disappointed me!

Bak Kut Teh

Last Saturday, Alan invited us to have dinner at his apartment. He just moved in 2weeks ago. He cooked Bak Kut Teh!! Nel and I were so happy. You can't get the dish here in Ireland at all.

Yummy!

Monday, May 4

Aww! So Cute!

We saw her while we were strolling along the beach in Bray. Her owner was feeding her an ice-cream.

With the consent of the owener, Nel snapped some pictures of her! Though the ice-cream seemed to be yummy, she realised someone was spying her.

Alerted, she paused, turned and stared at Nel with a what-do-you-want-dude kind of look.

So cute! Her mouth was still stained with vanila ice-cream :)

The Dinner

I had a full day class today. I almost fell asleep untill my lecturer said that he actually lived in Malaysia for quite a couple of years. He then made a statement "I realised that Ireland corruption is very very very mild!!" Hahaha!!!

Anyway, Nel and I made a simple dinner tonight. I cooked the "tumeric fried chicken". Actually, I did not fried it, I oven-baked the chicken wings. Nel cooked the omelette :)

A complete dinner must come with a dessert. We had ice-cream :D

I'm looking forward for next weekend! We have Good Friday and Easter Monday! 4days off in a roll :)

I've moved

This was where I lived for more than one year.

The Concorde Apartment

The view from balcony

The room

The living room

The kitchen

Overall, it's a nice apartment. However, it's such a pain a** for the amount of time we travel to the city and work.

Now, we are living somewhere nearer to my office!
It takes only 5mins to walk back to my apartment. Only 5mins! I feel so great!!!

14 Dec 2008

Finally, exam is over!

Christmas party is over too!

I can't believe is 14 Dec already! 16days left and that's the end of 2008!!!

10days to go, I'll be at Paris but I don't feel excited at all.
I will, maybe the day before I'm flying there. Haha.
Anyway, at least I can have a break!

Some photos from the Xmas party...

Merry Christmas!!!

Riverdance

Nelson & I watched a theatre show 2 weeks ago. It was my first time sitting inside a classic theatre to watch a live performance!

Riverdance is a world-class performance of Irish dance, which is also known as Stepdance.
Stepdance might seems easy to master at first glance but in fact not easy at all.

How could you move your leg so rapidly and control your upper body movement in synch at the same time? Outstretch arm too? It's so ridiculously tough!

The show was really SUPERB & SPLENDID!

Personally, I like a part where other form of dance is incorporated into the choreograph of stepdance.

Traditional Stepdance VS "Hip hop Stepdance". Funny yet interesting!

Apart from the brilliant dancers, the musicians are excellent too!

The musician I love most is definitely the drummer of the show!!!!! He is so funny!!!

He was busy all the time! He has got 3 sets of different types of drums and a big gong. He was hopping left and right to play the set drums and percussions. He seems to enjoy it so much.

He is SO CUTE!!! VERY CUTE!!!

Pressie

Pressie from my hubby! Thank you!

Sunday, January 6

Goodbye, 2007!

What have you done for Year 2007?

The 1st half of 2007 is totally uneventful and meritless to me. I was working in an audit firm, which is quite a big company (there are more than 100 staffs in the audit department itself, and that does not include internal department, corporate finance department, tax department...and bla bla bla)

My life was miserable after I joined the passionless company. I worked from 9am to 12am almost daily. Even if I was not going back to office during weekends, I'd still have to work at home! The datelines were never-ending and assignments were piled up one after another. Not only did I have to rush for the accounting works and reports, I also had to liaise with some ridiculous seniors and clients. On my last day of work, I still had to work untill 11pm and yet my senior was still not satisfied.

She accused me for not doing my part responsibly because I had tender my resignation. Excuse me, I had already knew I'd leave the company since March, and I handed in my resignation letter in May. Nobody knew before that. And she only felt that I'm not commited to my works in June! What about from March to May? Stupid lady. What about the unpaid OTs that I had contributed even to the last day of my works?

I got sick 6 times in the first half of the year, which means once in each month! I have no idea what was so wrong. 4 times was fever, cough and flu. The other 2 times was feeling dizziness due to "耳水不平衡" (sorry if you cant read chinese, I dont know how to call it in english)

Basically, I was feeling dizzy and wanna vomit because of that. I couldnt simply move especially my head or else I'd faint! I went to see doctor, took antibiotic and injections.

That's the first 6months of 2007. Miserable, isnt it? For the second half of 2007, it was wayyyyy better!!!

It's gonna be most of my FIRSTs in my lifetime.

1. I'm away from home and it's half a globe away!

2. For the first time, friends actually sent me off at airport. (I always farewell friends and sent them off at airport. I used to wonder when would be my turn and this is it)

*KLIA*

3. My first time to Europe.

*Amsterdam Airport*

4. My first time to work in a foreign company.

5. My first time to experience sunrise and sunset at 4am and 11pm during Summer, and at 9am and 4pm during Winter.

6. First time to experience four seasons.

7. First time having authentic Irish breakfast in Bed and Breakfast when I'm here for the 1st two weeks. It made me feel so sick. Imagine having this everyday in the morning for 14 consecutive days!!!

*Irish Breakfast*

8. I got engaged. Although I still feel as if I am still living bachelor life, it's my first time to be somebody's wife this year (Of course, I dont wish to have a 2nd time).

9. I can prepare a proper meal!

*Kon lo mee, wanton and spring roll*

10. Travelled to Spain.

*Casa Mila - Barcelona*

Finally, I would like to wish everyone to have a gorgeous and amazing 2008!

And I hope I'll be able to live my hubby motto, "Nothing is Impossible!"
