Merry Xmas!
Merry Xmas and Happy New Year everybody!
I'm away for 11days. See you!

Last day of work
Nobody seemed to be in the mood of working today. Everybody couldn't wait to head home for family reunion or holiday, including my boss! We were chatting for 40mins during our tea break this morning.
At first, my boss allowed us to leave the office at 1pm. However, he changed his mind eventually and emerged from his room at 12.30am, and announced "Come on, lets go home!!" We were surprised yet excited and exclaimed "Are you sure?"
By the way, guess what I got for Xmas?
Last Tuesday, one of the company's partner gave me 2 bottles of wine - one red and one white.
Last Wednesday, another partner gave me one bottle of red wine and one bottle of white wine.
Yesterday, my manager gave me one bottle of white wine!
And today, another partner gave me 2 bottles of wine! Again!
I now have 7 bottles of wine!
I know those wine are actually given to my boss from clients. They have got too many, until they decided to share them with us. Somehow, I just don't understand, why can't the clients buy other stuffs other than wine?
This morning, one of the partners received a dozen bottles of wine in a big classy briefcase! I guess it must be from a big client!
Oh, last night, hubby was lucky enough to get a gift from a raffle at company.
Alcohol again!!!
Anybody would like to have some wine? Drink till you drop....
Hubby is going to finish work at 3pm. We'll have a great dinner and pop our first bottle of wine later.

Free Dinner
Well, it's not free actually. We gotta pay, in the form of ang pau! One of Nelson's friends gonna holds her wedding back in M'sia in few weeks time. Obviously, we couldn't make it. Unless the groom and bride sponsor us to fly all the way back to attend the dinner which definitely is unlikely. So, they organised a dinner at a good local chinese restaurant for friends here in Dublin.
We went to one of the famous bars -
I did not have orgasm that night. Haha =D
I had pear cider instead. Pear cider is an alcoholic beverage made of fermented pear juice.
I love to drink apple or pear cider as compared to Guinness because they taste sweet. It's just like drinking juice and it does not distinctively taste alcoholic. Ciders actually have the same alcohol content as Guinness ler...
Hubby was having the house-brewed Oyster Stout.
Interesting! It's an alcoholic beverage brewed with fresh oyster! It taste quite good. Personally, I think it taste better and smoother than Guinness.
Overall, we had a great night. Thanks to Kok Wai and Wai Chan.
I went to pubs twice this week. I hope I won't be addicted to beer. Haha, I don't want to have a bloated tummy.

Drinking
The place was jam-packed to the extent that even the aisles were piled up with standing people. They seem to be enjoying themselves and happily holding a pint of Guinness or whatever beer chit-chatting with friends, despite the fact that they were to stand all night.
The currency of Northern Ireland is sterling pounds. However, only today I got to know that UK doesn't accept Northern Ireland sterling pounds according to my friend. On the other hand, Northen Ireland accepts UK sterling.
It's so ironic and funny because Northern Ireland is part of UK and both sterlings has got the same values.
Free lunch
It's one of my colleaugues' - Edward - last day tomorrow. We went to a pub nearby our office for lunch. Our Manager paid for it!
The pub was crowded. We had to sit on two different table. It's a farewell lunch however I did not even get a chance to talk to Ed -_-"
It's fine, we'll have a pint or two at a pub after his last working day tomorrow. I think I'll have the chance to bid him farewell then :)

Cake session
My company would treat us cakes during tea time whenever there is staff leaving the company, or to celebrate someone's birthday or welcoming new staff!
I just had cake in the office today during our usual tea break session. It's one of the colleagues' birthday.
After some chat, we realised that we gonna have lots of cake these 2 weeks. On the coming Friday, one of the staffs is leaving. Next Monday, it'll be one of the partner's birthday. The following Friday, another staff is leaving.
Good! Cos I always starve around 10.30am eventhough I'd usually have my breakfast early morning.

No electricity
While waiting for the food at the restaurant, we had a little chat with the owner of the restaurant. She is from Hong Kong. She disclosed that chinese food here are actually watered down to suit ang moh's taste.
She is so right.
My "Kung Po" doesn't taste like Kung Po at all -_-"

Brunch
The total bill came up to €50.65.
Oh, I've been tagged! By Zoe. I'll blog later, ok?
I have no problem to blog about that topic. Well, I don't know many friends who blog. I cant tag for like 7 ppl. I have an idea, could I tag the one who tag me? Hahaha =D

Nasi Lemak ^_^
I know it's just unbelievable! I'm addicted to cooking!
Who say I can't have Asian or M'sian food when I'm here. I love browsing through food blogs and trying those home-cooked food recipes.
Recently, I made Nasi Lemak! Hahaha =D
I cooked extra portions. My hubby happily packed a portion for lunch the next day =D
Bringing lunch box to work is no strange thing here. In fact, some Irish pack their lunch too. I like to pack for my lunch because I could have whatever I wanna eat.
Unlike in M'sia, we always have lunch at coffee shops or restaurants. It costs about RM4-5 only.
I'd only go out for lunch with colleagues on every Friday. For the lunch, well, I'd usually order...
Chicken sandwich = bread
Pepperoni and cheese panini = bread
Ham and cheese baguette = bread -_-"
Every each of them costs around €4-€5. If you wanna have hot foods like pasta or lagsane, they cost around €8-€10 each. Everyday eat like that, can die hor!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is the cake I made for my hubby on his birthday.
I didn't include this pic in my earlier blog, because the cake is so ugly. I'm sucks in decorating. I ran out of time, I had to make this before he came back from work. So I just sprinkled some choc rices on top and wrote the words. Haha ^^
I also ran out of batter, so I shortened the word from BIRTHDAY to B'DAY...wahaha
I didn't plan to post it here at first because it's really so ugly. Well, then I was thinking this is a blog to keep the memories for myself, I'm sure it'll be good laugh when I read it in future, isn't it?
Birthday Dinner
Marinaded lamb chop and refrigerated it for 5hours
Grilled meatball and made the gravy.
Shredded carrot and lettuce for salad,
baked potato, and grilled the lamb chop!
I'm proud of myself that I'm able to prepare a decent dinner as planned (Despite failing the dessert -_-")
Baby, I hope you enjoy the dinner! Happy Birthday!
Baby, I have a request! Could you please have a body like the JPG parfume bottle?
Freezing!
Every part of the body could be clothed and covered up except the face. And my cheeks blush in the cold weather whenever I am out there braving the icy wind. Funny, I never realise that my cheeks so 'colourful' in cold weather before this. It's obviously very rosy, emm, or shall I say reddish.
Too warm, my cheeks blush.
Too cold, my cheeks blush -_-"
With just drops of beer/liquor, my cheeks also blush.
Damn useless! And my friends around would think I'm drunk, but I'm absolutely not!
At night, the temperature hovers around 0-4C.
Worst still, it's not even winter yet. I dare not to imagine how would it be then.
There is summer break holiday.
Why not to have a winter break as well, so that I could hibernate at home (".)
Goodbye
That's funny! He has three year experience and actually went through two interview with them. First interview with the manager and second interview with the director. And they can’t even notice he is not capable during the interview?
Poor thing, hope he will get a job soon.
Constipation
Ironically, I am actually having more fruits and vegetable as compared when I was in Malaysia. I do eat grape, banana, orange, apple and lettuce every week without fail. I also down a cup of yogurt almost daily. However, my shit is still very stubborn.
The method and the diet recipe were actually taught by my friend – Ming Yee. She said this will help to detoxify the body. When I got to know about the recipe, I seriously didn’t think I would ever wanna try it out. I’m a carnivore…haha, I love eating pork, chicken and seafood. I can’t live a day without meat.
The recipe is fairly simple; carrot & lemon, and lots of salads for lunch and dinner. I could consume biscuit if I am hungry. Thus I have bought some high-fibre biscuit. However, my hubby is not helping me; he secretly ate some potato chips behind me which he promised not to during these three days. Even took my biscuit as his snack -_-"
Today is eventually my last day of the diet programme. I never thought I could persevere to this stage. Hopefully I could flush out the shits in my stomach soon. I don’t want to have only vegetables! I’m not a person that would go for diet, I love to eat!
Shit! Now, could you please come out?
Stuck
Nonetheless, on my way back home today… I was taking the elevator back to my apartment as usual. Ding! The lift door slided open and I stepped into the lift. Pressing 2nd floor button where apartment is located, the door shut subsequently. Longing to rest at home soon however, the lift didn't seem to elevate. I pressed the lift button several times again to ensure it had got the signal to move up. It still didn't seem to response. I was starting to be nervous. Okay, fine! I tried to press the "door open" button thinking to scale the stair instead. It didn't response either. Heck, I'm stuck in the lift! I tried, and tried, and soon I'm convinced that I'm trapped and had no way out. Without thinking much, I pressed the emergency alert button, yearning frantically that a hero would come to my rescue.
It was so scary. I waited for about 25 minutes being imprisoned in the small lift! All of a sudden, the 25mins just seemed like years. Being alone, I have nothing to do in there. The air was getting thin and was even difficult to breathe at times. Furthermore, it was very warm too ironically since it's autumn now! I've never experienced such warmth since I came to Ireland. Worst of all, the nightmare was I wanna pee pee!
I was still waiting for my hero (the lift technician) to come. You know when you're alone being confined in a small space, you would start to imagine and visualise things that would not normally come across your mind-ghost & spirit!. Oh god, pictures like a pale-looking lady with long straight hair standing right beside you, and a pretty young lady looking straight to your eyes from the ceiling when you look up started to flash through my mind. It's like a reminiscence to the horror movie, The Eye. I hate my friend who told me the scenes of the movie. I didn't watch the movie, I never want to watch any ghost movie. Because I know that I would start to recall and replay the horror scenes in my mind for a long while. I was getting frustrated and really appalled. Horrified, I was staring front and back, left and right, up and down, checking that no "one" was looking at me. I was not trying looking for ghost ok! I was really petrified at that time.
I was trying to occupy my time. I tried to send a message to my hubby, even though I knew there is no network coverage in the lift… haha =D
After a long 25mins later, to my relief, I heard someone shouting, “Are you stuck in there?” across the door. Oh great, there he was, my hero finally arrived! When the lift door was slided open, there was an angel standing in front of you stretching wide open her helping hands to your rescue. Dream on! Unfortunately that's not the case. The hero whom I'd been waiting is an Irish old man, even slightly bold -_-"
Whilst helping me out, the Irish asked me, “Oh, are you ok? You are lucky! I’m just nearby the area.”
Me: -_-"
Excuse me??? Lucky??? Did I hear you right, Mr old man? You consider an incident of this lucky? I absolutely do not think so dude! If I’m lucky, I won’t be stuck in there, for a good 25mins!
Moving forward from there, now I’m pondering whether should I trust the elevator anymore and use it daily? Or should I painstakingly climb the stair to 2nd floor? ;p The elevator would be a white elephant if the residents at 2nd floor are not utilising it, because there is only ground floor, first floor and second floor is the highest. Hahaha!
Deserts
Fireworks view from my balcony
I bought some desserts back home after work - Lemon Custard Cream.
And guess what happened? My hubby came back as usual at 6.30pm. He bought me dessert too..haha!
What a coincidence!
Wild Wicklow Tour
The tour began with sightseeing around dublin city..and the tour guide narrated a brief history of Ireland in the first hour of the tour.
Then, we arrived at a place calls - Dun Laoghaire, the harbour where Nelson always go for fishing.
It certainly is a nice seaside to hang around on sunny days. I've been there several times. Everytime when I was there, surely there'd be seals greeting us on our arrival. For once, I even managed to get a glimpse of a couple of dolphines cruising by the harbour, though they were quite far away.
Early in the morning, around 10.30am, I dont understand why is there an ang moh dressing scantily and sitting on the rock there? Not cold meh? 13 degrees ler? Gila!
Guinness Lake! An impressive lake at Wicklow mountain range in Ireland. According to the tour guide, the lake actually resembles a pint of Guinness and the water is brown in colour. Most of all, the lake is located at lands that belong to Guinness family. That's how the nickname derived. Its formal name is Lough Tay :)
Taking a break, the tour guide brought us a bottle of locally brewed Irish whisky, Jameson.
See. Whenever there is alcohol, my hubby would be very happy! Sooner, he gonna be promoted to be an alcoholic, cos the beers and alcohols here are relatively cheap. Nevertheless, his whereabouts and activities are fully under my observation. Fret not. Hehe...
Round tower at Glendalough. Well, the tour guide talked a lots about the history of this place. Hm... unfortunately, I remember none ;)Once a church at Glendaough, I guess about a millenium ago.
Glendalough historical site.
Upper Lake at Glendalough. Nothing much to me, it's just another scenic lake ;)
All right. That's all for my Wicklow tour. Hehe...
HAPPY HALLOWEEN TO EVERYBODY!
Time change
While we were shopping in the city, Nelson received a call from Alan.
Alan: "Hi. Where are you? What's the time now?"
Nelson: "I am in the city and it's 4.30pm now. Why?"
Alan: "4.30pm your head. Are you dreaming? It's only 3.30pm now la!"
Nelson was puzzled. So were I. And soon Alan reviewed that the time in Ireland has been adjusted an hour earlier today in view of the seasonal change.
I never knew time is adjusted in this part of the world for this reason.
Anyway, we had an 'extra' hour to shop! Hurray! hehe...
Now, I knew why my mobile's time contradicted with Nelson's, because my mobile has an automatic time update function, which I have activated.
All kind of weird things happen when you are in the other part of the world.
I was having a lazy weekend, having nothing to do, and suddenly I feel like baking! So I did at around 8pm just now! Fresh from oven, Butter Cookies!
I'm going to have my cookies now. Tomorrow is a public holiday here. I still have one more day to spend. Bye!
Saturday, October 27
It's Saturday!
I woke up at 8am. You know, when you're waking early from Mon through Fri, your biological body alarm clock would automatically wakes you up at that time too.
I made breakfast. I have started having breakfast since I came to Dublin =)
I made this...erm..don't know what it's called. I saw it from this blog. The moment I saw it I knew I'd love this. Haha! Coincidentally, I saw nutella on sale - 2 for €3.50! Of course buy la =D
Went to the city after breakfast. We have to buy some household necessities for our new room as well as a rice cooker! Ya...Rice Cooker, can you believe it? All this while I cook rice without using rice cooker. Haha...
As usual, when we take our lunch outside, we would either dine at Mandarin House Restaurant or Harry Ramsden's for fish and chips. We love the fish and chips!
The skin is so crispy and the meat is so juicy. It comes at a very big portion for only €9.90. We always order one meal because I definitely cant finish it. I usually manage to swallow 1/3 of the portion. You don't believe it? I can tell you the fish itself weights 300g, as it is shown on the menu. That is a very big fish fillet and the chips...hell lots, ok!
After shopping, we went to Alan's place. He invited us to join them for dinner =D
The menu - Spicy Crabs, Curry Chicken and mixed vegetables.
I'm damn jeolous at Ke Xin because she has a "can cook" husband. Alan always prepares the dinner. Alright, my husband is not bad, he offers to cook as well. However, I'm even more frighten if he offers..because he will only cook Spaghetti Carbonara. Nothing else but Carbonara. Sigh.
We had a scrumptious dinner overall. Thanks to Alan. We chatted till late night, gossiped and bitched about our working lifestyle at M'sia. It's just too hard to save money, go for holidays or even to buy a house when you are one of the typical young middle-class working professionals. Basically, the rich would get richer, the poor would become poorer. The financial gap just keeps on increasing. Sad thing.
Alan and Lye, both of them generally dont like the sosio-politic scenes in M'sia. Well, what can we do? They don't plan to go back to M'sia in future. No doubt, lifestyle here is way better than M'sia's. Somehow, it is still too early for us to decide where to settle down. M'sia, a place where we are from, has got lots of memories for us. Most importantly, our parents are there! We miss them!
My honest Daddy
By the way, I have to say I love my manager. Haha, she always let me go home at 3.30pm whenever I'm out to audit. I got back home at 4pm these few days.
I still have plenty of time to cook dinner. Or else I'll end up eating fish n chips, fried chicken or some stupid sandwich that Irish always eat.
Claypot chicken rice without claypot - my dinner last night..haha! Don't laugh...there is a blogger cooking it this way. I follow her RECIPE.
Tonight, I'm having ginger chicken soup - taught by my mom long long time ago.
Oh...back to my topic, my honest Daddy!
2days ago, my mom found a gold ring which fell from the sky. Alright, I joke! But that is how my sister told me. What happened was my mom accidentally saw a gold ring from a garden nearby my house in Subang and she then took it back home.
Yesterday, as usual, my dad went jogging at the garden nearby. After a few rounds, he sat down by the bench at the garden to have some rest. Oh..he was not resting, he actually took the ring found by mom and hoping the owner of the ring would come searching for it! When I heard it from my sister, I was like " W.H.A.T!!!" Seriously, I think the ring owner wouldn't be so smart to return to the garden to search for it.
Lo and behold, there were 2 'suspicous' person wandering around the garden, seemed to be looking for something. My dad, presuming that they are the persons he is waiting for, then approached them and ask tactfully what are they looking for? A gold ring! My dad then happily return the ring to the rightful owners.
I laugh like hell and I can imagine my mom's reaction when she knows about it. Almost surely, I think she's going to scold him..haha. No wonder my mom always say my dad is the most honest person in the world. He really is!
Interesting Things in Dublin
*Us in the bus*
Thirdly, in fact I really respect the street entertainers here in Dublin. At least they know how to use their so-called talent to make their income, instead of sheer begging or stealing or robbing.
An street entertainer, he is trying so hard to impersonate the James Joyce statue nearby. Are you able to guess which is human?
A beggar. Oops... An artist painting on the paveway and hoping a couple of Euro in return from appreciative passer-bys.
Harp player by a busy downtown street, never got a chance to witness this in KL.
Golden Angel! She is a human... If you are generous enough to throw some money into her box, she would become alive waving her magic wand above your head and, "may your wish come true!"
I guess she's performing some sort of traditional dance. Anyhow, all I know is the guys there are only admiring her protruded nipples. hoho... A guy even shouted, "strip! strip!"
I think as long as you are daring, you could earn a living here, at least as a street entertainer. Hehe...
*The Bad Ass Cafe*
Fourth, weird name!
Why in the world does the owner name his/her cafe "The Bad Ass Cafe!" I'm curious. Are they "selling ass?" Or even worst, BAD ass! Let me guess, maybe they have "Ass of the day" in the menu. haha...
*Gay and Lesbian section in bookstore*
Fitfh, they even have a Gay and Lesbian section in the bookstore. Cool!
Now, do u have cultural shock yet? No right..me neither! I expect to see more bizzare and strange things in years to come.
However I'm really shock with this...
The prettiest I ever saw...
*The prettiest ever Stewardess I saw in Irish airline, Aer Lingus*
