Goodbye, 2007!
The 1st half of 2007 is totally uneventful and meritless to me. I was working in an audit firm, which is quite a big company (there are more than 100 staffs in the audit department itself, and that does not include internal department, corporate finance department, tax department...and bla bla bla)
My life was miserable after I joined the passionless company. I worked from 9am to 12am almost daily. Even if I was not going back to office during weekends, I'd still have to work at home! The datelines were never-ending and assignments were piled up one after another. Not only did I have to rush for the accounting works and reports, I also had to liaise with some ridiculous seniors and clients. On my last day of work, I still had to work untill 11pm and yet my senior was still not satisfied.
She accused me for not doing my part responsibly because I had tender my resignation. Excuse me, I had already knew I'd leave the company since March, and I handed in my resignation letter in May. Nobody knew before that. And she only felt that I'm not commited to my works in June! What about from March to May? Stupid lady. What about the unpaid OTs that I had contributed even to the last day of my works?
I got sick 6 times in the first half of the year, which means once in each month! I have no idea what was so wrong. 4 times was fever, cough and flu. The other 2 times was feeling dizziness due to "耳水不平衡" (sorry if you cant read chinese, I dont know how to call it in english)
Basically, I was feeling dizzy and wanna vomit because of that. I couldnt simply move especially my head or else I'd faint! I went to see doctor, took antibiotic and injections.
That's the first 6months of 2007. Miserable, isnt it? For the second half of 2007, it was wayyyyy better!!!
It's gonna be most of my FIRSTs in my lifetime.
1. I'm away from home and it's half a globe away!
2. For the first time, friends actually sent me off at airport. (I always farewell friends and sent them off at airport. I used to wonder when would be my turn and this is it)
*KLIA*
3. My first time to Europe.*Amsterdam Airport*
4. My first time to work in a foreign company.5. My first time to experience sunrise and sunset at 4am and 11pm during Summer, and at 9am and 4pm during Winter.
6. First time to experience four seasons.
7. First time having authentic Irish breakfast in Bed and Breakfast when I'm here for the 1st two weeks. It made me feel so sick. Imagine having this everyday in the morning for 14 consecutive days!!!
8. I got engaged. Although I still feel as if I am still living bachelor life, it's my first time to be somebody's wife this year (Of course, I dont wish to have a 2nd time).
9. I can prepare a proper meal!*Casa Mila - Barcelona*
Finally, I would like to wish everyone to have a gorgeous and amazing 2008!
And I hope I'll be able to live my hubby motto, "Nothing is Impossible!"

Last day of work
Nobody seemed to be in the mood of working today. Everybody couldn't wait to head home for family reunion or holiday, including my boss! We were chatting for 40mins during our tea break this morning.
At first, my boss allowed us to leave the office at 1pm. However, he changed his mind eventually and emerged from his room at 12.30am, and announced "Come on, lets go home!!" We were surprised yet excited and exclaimed "Are you sure?"
By the way, guess what I got for Xmas?
Last Tuesday, one of the company's partner gave me 2 bottles of wine - one red and one white.
Last Wednesday, another partner gave me one bottle of red wine and one bottle of white wine.
Yesterday, my manager gave me one bottle of white wine!
And today, another partner gave me 2 bottles of wine! Again!
I now have 7 bottles of wine!
I know those wine are actually given to my boss from clients. They have got too many, until they decided to share them with us. Somehow, I just don't understand, why can't the clients buy other stuffs other than wine?
This morning, one of the partners received a dozen bottles of wine in a big classy briefcase! I guess it must be from a big client!
Oh, last night, hubby was lucky enough to get a gift from a raffle at company.
Alcohol again!!!
Anybody would like to have some wine? Drink till you drop....
Hubby is going to finish work at 3pm. We'll have a great dinner and pop our first bottle of wine later.

Free Dinner
Well, it's not free actually. We gotta pay, in the form of ang pau! One of Nelson's friends gonna holds her wedding back in M'sia in few weeks time. Obviously, we couldn't make it. Unless the groom and bride sponsor us to fly all the way back to attend the dinner which definitely is unlikely. So, they organised a dinner at a good local chinese restaurant for friends here in Dublin.
We went to one of the famous bars -
I did not have orgasm that night. Haha =D
I had pear cider instead. Pear cider is an alcoholic beverage made of fermented pear juice.
I love to drink apple or pear cider as compared to Guinness because they taste sweet. It's just like drinking juice and it does not distinctively taste alcoholic. Ciders actually have the same alcohol content as Guinness ler...
Hubby was having the house-brewed Oyster Stout.
Interesting! It's an alcoholic beverage brewed with fresh oyster! It taste quite good. Personally, I think it taste better and smoother than Guinness.
Overall, we had a great night. Thanks to Kok Wai and Wai Chan.
I went to pubs twice this week. I hope I won't be addicted to beer. Haha, I don't want to have a bloated tummy.
